Am really excited about it, and am also filled with a bit of fear.
It’s a huge financial responsibility.
Had been looking around for quite some time and was blessed to meet new friends Wayne and Phoebe, a very nice couple, who actually came all the way to my office to drive me to view some places near East Coast Park (hence the running attire. I had planned to go run after the viewing.)
We actually went to two sites, and I didn’t quite like them. Then they told me about the place I eventually ended up with.
The couple actually drove me back to the office to pick up my stuff and dropped me back home to pick up my cheque just in case I decided to commit (sorry I have to explain. Had some weird comments on Facebook) I just stuffed the cheque into my running pouch /armband.
I still wanted to run, that’s why. Not rocket science.
Anyway there were a couple of factors why I chose this place: I don’t drive and my new place absolutely has to be near a train station. And I do cook – most places offer a kitchenette which can’t really allow for much cooking to be done. Hence, a proper, enclosed kitchen was a must.
I walked into the showroom and fell in love with the place.
It was all in a pretty strange day.
So now I’m officially a home owner. And I’m so wired even after (or mayhaps, because of a short run I squeezed in post purchase) I can’t sleep now.
Thank goodness it is Friday.
PS: the place I bought will only be ready in 2016.
I have to start really saving. Heh.
Thanks for all the genuine well-wishes. Am really pleased as punch!
