I used to think baking was easy.. After all, it is just measuring the right amount /volume of water/flour/whatever you want and placing it in the oven, right?
I was wrong. So, so wrong.
It is not like Chemistry class in school; there is just so much to do, to measure, to look out for.
Cooking is much easier, I realise.
I was never into confections, eating or baking, primarily because of my allergy to chocolate (tragic) and a fear of weight gain.
But now I have a Guinea pig I find I’m really enjoying the whole process.
And of course I’m glad to make him happy.
