I don’t condone what Jover Chew did – it is terrible.
For those not in Singapore there was a case of a Vietnamese chap who was, in short, swindled of his hard earned cash by said protagonist above. The poor tourist even knelt to beg this piece of work for a refund. And prior to this, Chew’s staff even refunded another tourist SG$1.010 in coins, after she (rightfully) stood her ground.
The store Chew owns has had numerous complaints. And the villain in this case was exposed. His pictures were splashed online, and his wife’s details (apparently she has another store but claims to be totally unrelated) were everywhere.
His mother-in-law wasn’t spared too. His MIL.
While I am glad that things are moving to help the victims, I feel for those who are indirectly hurt. What did they do? Are we sure they didn’t try to dissuade him?
Why get them involved?
Maybe that’s why this is why I left where I did.
